Hello! The expectation is that increase should be logarithmic. In your case you should not expect 10 times increase, but 2-3x.
However, if the operations take very short time their latency becomes irrelevant, you should really be looking at throughput. If for some requests latency starts to spike (and this drags the average up) you should try and find bottlenecks (such as long GC or low free memory for example).
