Andrew, I am using jcloud 1.7.4 but still getting following

Both support OpenJDK and Oracle JDK 1.6; we also have CI builds that verify Java 7, and from what we can see most users are, in fact, on Java 7. There are a few test failures on Java 8, but in general jclouds should work there. Java 8 is not currently an "officially supported" JDK version.
