Hi, For page load time testing you can use Proxy server to capture all web page elements and test it. But for this better use something similar to YSlow! If you want to test JavaScript you do not need switch to Selenium from JMeter. JMeter supports JavaScript and you can use WebDriver with JMeter <http://blazemeter.com/blog/jmeter-webdriver-sampler> .
