I agree with OSGi being a big one. I also feel stability with 3.0.0 is quite good compared to most products out of the gate. I've been playing with the nightlies and have have had virtually no issues which to me is impressive.
The ability to create KARs from features is another big one I see on my end. Oh, can't forgot the Pax Exam Karaf project which I've using exclusively for unit tests with 3.0 (I'm assuming it started for 3.0 right?) I need to learn about more about how the security and new diagnostics work. Besides all that, wanted to say congratulations on getting the build out with all the new features!!
