Hello Jean, Thanks for your reply. Yes I was talking about karaf initial startup requiring access to a maven repo for downloading features/dependencies. When is 3.0.2 expected to be available?
As per the documentation on http://karaf.apache.org/manual/latest/developers-guide/karaf-maven-plugin.html <http://karaf.apache.org/manual/latest/developers-guide/karaf-maven-plugin.html> install-kars & instance-create-archive are "Used in karaf-assembly packaging. See karaf-assembly." I am indeed using the karaf-assembly packaging, and was under the assumption (might sound silly ) that these plugins will be internally called, using the configuration I have provided. If these plugins are not called, how am I even getting the fully functional karaf standard distribution? Also, how do I override some of the configuration files like startup or logging config, etc, or if I have to omit the "demos" module? Do I need to follow a certain project structure?
