>it sounds like your sitetree might have become corrupted. what lenya version are you using? The lenya version is 1.2.2. It is running on linux under jboss4.01sp1. Everything is driven through SSL except that I edited the ./WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/lenya/cms/cocoon/generation/ProxyGenerator to talk directly to localhost:8080 so I could actually publish through SSL. And I have the static export task turned on. It turns out that restarting jboss brought my pages back into view in the authoring section. Woohoo! Now to go read the manual and find out how to reload the sitetree without restarting jboss.
