Have a look at the demo:
http://lenya.zones.apache.org:8888/index.html (lenya 1.2)
http://lenya.zones.apache.org:9999/index.html (lenya 1.4)
Lenya uses an authoring area and a live area. You can edit your
authoring area without modifying your live area, and schedule your
changes to be published in 7 days. You can browse your authoring site
just as you would your live site (with an added cms toolbar at the top).
I think there is also a staging area as well. I have never
implemented/turned it on.

Hi Doug,
I haven't actually downloaded lenya yet. That would be dependant on
this functionality question I have. I think I wasn't too clear the
first time and realized it after I sent my email to the list.
This is a question I sent off to another CMS vendor - "Could it be used
to schedule something to be visible in the future (lets say 7 days) on
the website that the CMS is being used for, and there be a way to
preview the site as it would appear seven days in the future? It would
be like me browsing through the site how it is supposed to look 7 days
from now."
I hope this is a better detailed description of what I am curious about.
Best Regards,
Michael

Subject: Re: functionality question
by scheduling a doc to be visible in the future, you are scheduling a
publish (of the current page in your authoring area) in the future.
Look at the doc in your authoring area.
Don't know if you can schedule a rollback or restore.
