no. You don't even need the JCR Block of Cocoon if you are using the
repository layer. Maybe you need to clean your local.* files within Cocoon.

you mean jcr-1.0.jar? If so, then you need to download from Day for
instance.
Or take a look at the Jackrabbit project.
