Hi, <p>I'm continuing in my efforts to get Midgard ported to NetBSD's package system, and I've made a fair amount of progress in the last few weeks. In fact, I think I'm almost there; but I'm on almost the last step of getting things compiling and installing, and I've run into some oddities with MidCOM.</p> <p>Specifically, I have a couple of questions about what's said in the midcom package.xml file for pear install, vs. what's said other places, or is actually happening</p>
<p>First, <a href="http://www.midgard-project.org/documentation/installing-midcom-with-pear/";>the installation instructions</a> indicate that Role_Midgardelement is required; however, the package.xml file distributed with midcom does not list it in the <dependencies> section. Which is right?</p> <p>Second, there are two files which are exhibiting odd installation behavior. midcom_dbobjects.xml should, according to the pear install instructions, be going in midcom/config/mgdschema/, but is myseriously being installed in share/midgard/schema. Similarly midcom_dbobjects_full.sql is landing in share/midgard/sql/update/ instead of in the indicated midcom/lib/midcom/config/mgdschema/sql/. Is this intentional?
