On staging page the replication data shows local information, i.e. imported to staging DB, exported from staging DB. If you want to see the import data on live server you have to check the replication information there. > 2: Does style information get copied across by the replication or is it only > data? All Midgard data gets replicated, though in two phases: 1. Content edited in MidCOM environment gets replicated via DBA watchers (so in a minute or so) 2. Content edited outside MidCOM (in Aegir or whatever) gets replicated via cron (in about one hour) > 2a: As a follow-on to 2, when I set up a new site for a client will page, > topic, article and style information be replication onto the live server or > does page and style information have to be created on the live database as > well? They get replicated, but please note that replication is set up on per-sitegroup basis. > 3: How long does replication normally take after approval - is it within a > minute or up to the hour? - I assume its defined by the cron job Depends how often your MidCOM cron everymin is run. Typically two minutes. > 4: Any pointers to the reason why the data is exporting properly but not > appearing on the live database? Check for all data in the replication log on the staging server about the change. Also, note that approvals have to happen in a tree. So if you approve an article but its topic is not approved it won't be replicated. > Mike. /Bergie _______________________________________________ user mailing list user@lists.midgard-project.org http://lists.midgard-project.org/mailman/listinfo/user
