William - ok, got it. Well, I'm not so sure I follow what the plugin does that this particular list is for, but ok. It seems that the mailing list for the "maven-eclipse-plugin" is just the general users list for maven itself. At least that's what the html site docs for that plugin point to.
I have posted my issue there. If anyone is interested (Phill? ... please?) I made a post that shows how to easily reproduce this problem. I would love it if anyone could figure a way around the problem: http://www.nabble.com/maven-eclipse-plugin-has-problem-with-muli-project-resources-tf3588357s177.html Regards, Davis On 4/16/07, William Ferguson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
For those on the list still suffering confusion (or perhaps its just me). I think what Eugene was trying to say was that this is not the mailing list for the maven-eclipse-plugin (http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-eclipse-plugin/) which is a maven-plugin for Eclipse. It is the mailing list for an eclipse-plugin that integrates with Maven. Unfortunately, the maven-eclipse-plugin which has the "mvn eclipse:eclipse" command does not appear to be compatible with this plugin. We have a directive NOT to use the maven-eclipse-plugin as it destroys the Maven dependencies that the eclipse-maven-plugin (to use the same syntax) provides so well. It is also *very* unfortunate that there is so much overlap and conufsion between the two. We really only need a single plugin. You don't need to modify your eclipse settings from the command line, if the eclipse-maven-plugin does it from Eclipse. Eugene, is that about right? William ________________________________
