Ingo,

By default all indexes are updated on Eclipse startup (you can turn that off in Maven settings). So it is quite possible that you already have latest index, but you can check index timestamp from the Maven Indexes view using Edit action on the corresponding index node, there you can see index update time.

 Eugene

I am unable to update index for central maven repo (update index from Maven Index view) 18/05/08 4:20:21 EDT PM: Downloading central : nexus-maven-repository-index.properties

18/05/08 4:20:21 EDT PM: Downloaded [central] -> http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/.index/nexus-maven-repository-index.properties

18/05/08 4:20:21 EDT PM: No index update available for central

If I enter the url http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/.index/nexus-maven-repository-index.properties in a browser, it displays
#Sat May 10 16:18:05 CDT 2008
nexus.index.time=20080510161805.239 -0500
nexus.index.id=central
I am running m2eclipse dev build 0.9.4.20080516-1144 with Eclipse Platform Version: 3.3.2 Build id: M20080221-1800. Thanks in advance, Ingo
