Ron, can you please elaborate why regular update site does not work
for you? Stats from the update site give us an importan information
about project users, it would be really inconvenient to lose it.
In a mean time you can use mirroring features of Eclipse update
manager to get yourself a local copy. See Eclipse help for more details.
