I think it's useful to provide an archived update site or an archived file such as zip file ， because some times the user has a slowly network and couldn't update from eclipse update manager, especially ganymede downloading content.zip,digest.zip file etc form eclipse official update site when install any plugin ,ant result is couldn't download those file then ganymede is stoping there as died, and any plugin could not install. those due to the p2 of ganymede counld not find fast update mirror site . A few days ago, I want to install subclipse，m2eclipse and ajdt 1.6.0 for ganymede from the update manager ，Several hours going ，the ganymede counld not install any plugin because of counld not download file such as content.zip . finally I cann't do anything but give up. Fortunately I finished downloading the subclipse and ajdt archived zip file from their site ， then I installed those plugin successful. Now the only plugin that I want is m2eclipse because all my project is base on mave2 . I am come from china ，the download speed is 1.2k/s when I download ajdt ， but finally I had downloaded the archived zip file and installed successfully ， It's not so bad . Now boring me is the m2eclipse that I couldn't install ， If m2eclipse provide an archived update site or archived installed file then I believe I will install this plugin successful as install subclipse ， ajdt . It's will be exciting and wonderful.
