Does that include downloading of all dependencies to local repository?
Is your project using any snapshot dependencies and how long does it
take with maven-eclipse-plugin?

Out of curiosity, why do you want to use maven-eclipse-plugin to generate
m2e project configuration files?
Because it takes FOREVER to do it inside eclipse with m2eclipse.
James, can you please quantify "forever"? Also how large project you are
importing into Eclipse, i.e. how many modules?
