Paul,

This is by design. In general, we can't expect that last segment in the url is always going to be unique (more over it is quite often that svn urls ends with "trunk"), so we are using unique names to checkout projects.
Does this folder name cause any issues, other then visual inconvenience?

 regards,
 Eugene

When ever I check out a project from subversion M2Eclipse creates the root
directory with some obscure name rather that the project name?

Example.

SVN location http://somedomain/svn/repo/ProjectX/trunk/projectx-root

I tell M2Eclipse to check our projectx-root
When I look on the on the file system I do not see the folder projectx-root
but a folder named maven.1224750363345?

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

Cheers

Paul
