Eugene Thanks for you response. The issue is mainly a visual inconvenience and if we do want to rename the folder we have obviously remove from the workspace and reimport again.
A nice enhancement would be if optionally we could specify the created folder name and if that folder already exists M2Eclipse would warn the user and fail to import as existing project would be over written.
