What do you mean with a "bleending edge"?
The error you showed is referring to an unreleased version of Mylyn,
that is what I referred as a bleeding edge.

I don't understand :S. I have installed the
"eclipse-jee-ganymede-SR1-win32.zip" distribution.
From your configuration details it look like you have installed some
other stuff too, such as some soyatec plugins, jboss ide and some svn
plugins.
Though it look like you have Mylyn 3.0.3 installed and it is somewhat
mixed with Mylyn 3.0.2 version.
I can't reproduce this issue here and will have to guess that either
p2 update manager or some of plugins have you installed has a link to
Mylyn 3.1 or some update site has such link, but I can't tell what is it.
From the list of plugins you have, there is a Mylyn feature for SVN.
Maybe you could try to uninstall it and see if that would help and/or
you can try to uninstall all other Mylyn features too. You can install
them back from the corresponding update sites.
Also you can try m2eclipse dev update site and see if p2 update
manager likes it more then the release one -

Help / About Eclipse SDK / Configuration Details.
You can also try to unselect "Maven issue tracking configurator
for Mylyn 3.x (optional)" feature in update manager UI and may
have to uninstall previously installed version of that feature too.
