Hi.
I just detected a problem with my Midgard 1.4 Server. It is running on
Debian 2.2, using cvs code checked out one or two days after the 1.4
release on Christmas.
Ever since I swiched servers Apache is producing segfaults. Sometimes
none, somtimes 15 in a row. I'm not sure why this is. This morning
logrotate then tried to SIGHUP the server, the result was a series of
"[warn] child process 20431 did not exit, sending another SIGHUP"
messages in syslog, ending with a complete crash of the server.
I did change some configuration parameters since the last update,
including support for SNMP, XML and LDAP support, which weren't there
in my last Midgard. But all those extras aren't in use yet, so I don't
think the problem lies there.
I'm not entirely sure this is because of Midgard, I didn't find any
connections yet between the crashes and what was running at the moment.
I'd rather be intrested in some experience if this is maybe a known
problem. I suspect it is somewhat Midgard-related, because the only
features used are Midgard PHP.
Live long and prosper!
