And for convenience, it's now enabled by default. So for those that
are still plagued by this, updating your CVS checkout for all three
parts (or grabbing the snaps) and reinstalling will make this problem
go away, or at least go sit in a corner where it won't bother us. It's
not specific to any linux distro. And hey, even though it's a gross
hack (not in implementation. but conceptually, it really stinks) it's
probably a tiny bit more efficient than the pre-bug code. Yay! :)
I'm not holding my breath for PHP to actually fix this anytime soon,
but once they do, this code goes out. It's decidedly non-threadsafe,
for one, so using this with apache 2.X is a bad idea.
We ought to start planning for a bugfix release, once the bugs we do
have are handled. So people, if there's a problem you're still seeing, and
there's no bugreport for it, please submit one now. I know there have
been problem reports on the mailinglist that have sat in my mailbox
for way too long that may now be handled or obsolete, or worse,
ignored. My apologies for that. Report them again, and we'll make sure
they will be handled. If you think it's a bug it can go straight in
the bugbase, otherwise the list is easiest. If you report through the
list and I don't have the time or skill (I'm as much a repligard
neophyte as te next guy, trust me) to handle them right away I may ask
you to make a bug report anyhow.
Oh and hey, if you're seeing a bugreport you can fix, or a
question you can answer, don't be shy.
Emile
