Alan, take a look at my SPEC files for PHP SRPMS. These are for ALT Linux
but it is easy to accomodate them to RH. They solve all problems with PHP
modules building and distribution. Look at
rsync://ftp.altlinux.ru::ALTLinux/Sisyphus/SRPMS/
