I'm pretty sure you know this already, but php4/midgard are conflicting with
each other.  If i enable both, i get errors all over the place, and nothing
seems to work.  If i take out php4, apache seems to work fine, midgard
doesn't give any trouble.  If i add php4 alone (no midgard), php4 seems to
work perfectly!

Also, i noticed that the /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd script stops working after i
add php4 and have midgard enabled.  When it's just php4/midgard that is
enabled, the script works fine.
