Not strictly necesary if you're using shared libs, but a good idea
nonetheless.

Shut down apache, and run it with -X:

# /usr/sbin/httpd -X

on my systems. Sometimes Apache reports errors to the console (happens
if they're early in the process) and the regular start scripts don't
make them available.
