BTW Alexander please do not kill me , but I have usually the same problem with PL 
fonts .
There are iso-8859-2 fonts in database
midgard is set to latin2
Apache Default Charset is set to iso-8859-2
admin and example page is set to iso-8859-2
And I got &345; in page code.
