The newer stuff (mmp and php4-ec) are under active development. Mmp
actually seems to do pretty good, php4-ec is far from usuable.

There's a pagelink-related bugfix I checked in this morning. If you
don't use pagelinks and you're using php4.0.6, and you have no install
issues, there's nothing specific you need.

CVS has seen only minor fixes since 1.4.2. That doesn't mean that this
will remain so. We have a number of severes outstanding that we'll
fix.

1.4.2 would be OK. If there's something that doesn't work, that's the
time to worry about upgrading.
