Correct as long as you use nadmin or asgard. If not, the admin group must be created as [root/newsgrp]. Nadmin and asgard do this for you. > + > + relog as admin*newsgrp > + > [root/newsgrp] + create a user (nuser) in admin group (newagrp) for newsgrp > [root/newsgrp] + create host for newsgrp. make newagrp the owner. right? Valid possibility, not required. A different group could be owner of the host record; the users in the admin group will have implicit ownership of all records in the sitegroup. > + > + relog as nuser+newsgrp > + > [admin/newsgrp] + go create! Fully correct. My notes in between are merely for background information, they are not critisism of what you've written. What's above is correct. > Works. But still: I create a page under the root page with the > following data: > > style: newly created style (from above) > type: normal > auth: inherited > author: nuser (created above) > content: (nothin) > > I cannot attach anything to this page! If you look in the database, the sitegroup field for this page record is as expected? > When I log in as admin with root status to the new sitegroup newsgrp: > No attachments, parameters. > > When I log in as admin with admin status to the new sitegroup: > nothing. > > When I log in as admin with root status to SG0: there we go! > "Elements", "Parameters" and "Attachments" appear in the menu. What > the F**k?!?? Must be a bug in Asgard. The admin user has full rights on the root page (or any other page) of his sitegroup. For verification I recommend installing oldadmin (how is the improved oldadmin coming along, Alexander?) or Nadmin. Asgard was never really fully engineered and there's noone working on it at this moment. A group from Russia has updated oldadmin to the point where it supports all 1.4.2 features but is translating it to English for the rest of us.
