Performance has always been something surreal to me, so no hint on that point. As far as I can say, it's fast enough. But that's just from viewing the pages I build with modem, cabel modem or isdn.
I'm using Midgard on a cluster with five servers, which all connect to a MySQL cluster. With the MidgardDatabase directive allowing remote db hosts this is really easy. Some functions have been fixed in CVS last week and as far as I can see these where the last to be fixed. And the page impressions? About 280.000 per day growing 20 to 40 percent monthly. And Midgard works still. Now running for two weeks in this system and no problems yet, no restart needed. If you need help or some hints for cluster usage, feel free to ask me. Daniel PS: Emile?
