I do too, but it brings some problems with it. I'd like the components
itself to be written in PHP to support a larger user base. Ruby is
fine, but not as widespread as PHP. Most Applications can do with PHP
anyway.

The MidCom Engine therefor has to be able to execute PHP code like in
mgd_include_snippet("...");. I don't think that skriptor could solve
this problem.

MidCom is about creating a whole new way how you build your Midgarded
Website. As long as we use PHP as a "final" skripting language for the
end-user, MidCom has to work on that layer.
