No, that's why we need sources packages.
That's way we should have :
packages for php 4.0.6
packages for php 4.1.x
etc etc etc.
If I build package I try to have the newest packages everyday.
If unstable distribution have php 4.2.x it means that midgard
_must_be build for that php version.
It is very clear for me.
I want midgard builded for stable debian relase which has php 4.0.3.
Would You like to do it for me? no. I may do it myself.
binary package is binary package and source package is source package.
Besides , how do You see that in packages list?
php4-midgard(what)?

I am not debian mentor , but we have to keep it with current other packages.
If I build php4-midgard with PHP 4.1.x and someone points sources for unstable
how he would install this?
And of course how are we build packages for different php versions?
I do not have so many machines here :)
