No, that's why we need sources packages. That's way we should have : packages for php 4.0.6 packages for php 4.1.x etc etc etc. If I build package I try to have the newest packages everyday. If unstable distribution have php 4.2.x it means that midgard _must_be build for that php version. It is very clear for me. I want midgard builded for stable debian relase which has php 4.0.3. Would You like to do it for me? no. I may do it myself. binary package is binary package and source package is source package. Besides , how do You see that in packages list? php4-midgard(what)? I am not debian mentor , but we have to keep it with current other packages. If I build php4-midgard with PHP 4.1.x and someone points sources for unstable how he would install this? And of course how are we build packages for different php versions?
