There are some fixes about PHP 4.3.0 in CVS, so if you still want to use
Midgard with PHP 4.3.0 - try to get Midgard from CVS. Or wait for next
bug-fixes release.

Real Programs don't use shared text.  Otherwise, how can they use functions
for scratch space after they are finished calling them?
