Hello,

caus i am not familar with CMS-systems, i would like to ask you some
questions. I know, some of them are very stupid, but let me ask, please.

So i have already installed Aegir on Midgard and it shows perfect. Great
layout and i think, if someone understand, how such system works, it is
easy to handle.
I have made a live/staging setup so i can test sites befor they are going
online. But there is a biginners-question.
Once i log into the admin, i have alot of options. I can create new users
and new Companys and Websites. As i understand, i can relate Websites to
companys. But how can i call a Companys Webseite that is created with
Aegir/Midgard? :-)

To get sites that you have created in Aegir/Midgard you just have to open a browser and put in the hostname, port and prefix that you entered when you created the website. You can check what it is in the Aegir interface by clicking on the Websites link, click on the website you created and then click on the Details link in the main frame. This will show you the name, prefix, port status and other information about the website that you created. So if you created a website with the name "mysite.com" with the prefix "example" and port 8001 if you enter mysite.com:8001/example into your browser it should open your site. Of course if you haven't entered any content there won't be much to see.

You see, i am a fully qualified beginner :-)

And another question is: Is there a step-by-step document how to start
setup websites, create websites and how to get them via Browser.

The Naadmin Manual which is available from http://www.hklc.com/midgard_manual/ gives you a good idea of how to create websites in Aegir. I don't know if there is a german translation available though.

The last is: If i make a site, i think i can click on the Republish-Link
on the left site header. Would the program Aegir write html-files to a
specific directory so that search-engines can indicate this sites or is
all of them dynamically in the databases stored and called from them?

I am not sure. Midgard does produce search engine friendly urls though but I haven't enough understanding of how the metadata is produced or exactly how static pages work.

You see, i am very qualified :-) Sorry me please, but i really want to understand Aegir.

Thank you so much for your answers

Daniel

PS: Please sorry my english too, cause i am native german speaker
