This is fixed by using the MidCOM datamanager to define your document types. http://www.nathan-syntronics.de/midgard/midcom/ At the moment MidCOM provides its own separate content creation interface, but progress was made in the recent OSCOM Sprint to integrate it with Aegir CMS. > Tarjei said customised parameter input fields would be introduced in > Aegir 1.1. However, if you want total extensibility, define your document types as MidCOM components, and you can easily choose the storage formats and user interfaces in the datamanager. MidCOM doesn't yet provide the Aegir WYSIWYG editor but I think this will not be far off. Torben? > 2. And indeed, all those features mentioned are available out there. It wouldn't even take me a long time to add them to the Sample site... the question is just when to allocate resources to it. Of course, clients are the first priority for me, and they need/want improvements in Aegir CMS instead of the Sample sites. > I'm not sure if this is a server side issue or an internet connection > speed issue but it is really slow. The old admin interface is really quick. This is a known issue that comes with providing a richer interface. If you want lighter interface, you can use the AIS content administration interface that comes with MidCOM separately from Aegir CMS. > I couldn't really get my head around MidCOM as a possible solution for > any of these problems so if it is, it would be great to know how I can > test it.
