Ok, well that seemed to help, but now I'm getting:

*Fatal error*: Cannot redeclare processsubmit() in */home/httpd/htdocs/ef-midgard/cache/4.php(40) : eval()'d code* on line *483*

Also is it normal to have to sprinkle symlinks to midgard.so around so that the PHP files can find it?

Thanks,

Hi Jesse

Have you got the following line in you midgard-data.conf file.

MidgardPageCacheDir /var/www/midgard/cache

That message is exactly what I get if I am using the mod_midgard-preparse module and its midgard-root.php file and have turned off caching by commenting out the following line. If you want to disable caching you will have to use the midgard-root.php file from the mod_midgard package otherwise you will get that error message.

Cheers
John

Sorry if this is a total noob question but, well, I'm a total noob to
Midgard (although I'm a long time PHP developer)...

Anyway, I'm just installing 1.5.0 on my server and I thought I'd gone
through all the steps but Midgard doesn't seem to be parsing pages properly.

When I try to go to http://somedomain.com/asgard/ it asks for my
password and then shows me this:

<[code-compat]> <[code-global]> <[code-init]><[ROOT]>

The midgard components that I installed were:

midgard-lib-1.5.0
midgard-php4-1.5.0
mod_midgard-preparse-1.5.0
midgard-data-1.5.0

My server is running Gentoo and here are some of the relevant ebuilds
I've got:

net-www/apache-1.3.27-r3
dev-php/mod_php-4.3.2
dev-db/mysql-3.23.56

PHP works fine and is configured thusly:

'./configure' '--prefix=/usr' '--host=i686-pc-linux-gnu'
'--mandir=/usr/share/man' '--infodir=/usr/share/info'
'--datadir=/usr/share' '--sysconfdir=/etc' '--localstatedir=/var/lib'
'--without-readline' '--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs' '--without-db3'
'--without-db4' '--without-db2' '--with-mcrypt=/usr' '--with-mhash'
'--with-gdbm=/usr' '--with-pgsql=/usr' '--with-pdflib=/usr'
'--without-gd' '--with-png-dir=/usr' '--with-jpeg'
'--with-jpeg-dir=/usr' '--enable-exif' '--with-tiff-dir=/usr'
'--with-mysql=/usr' '--with-ttf' '--with-t1lib' '--with-gettext'
'--without-qtdom' '--with-pspell' '--with-openssl' '--without-curl'
'--with-imap' '--without-ldap' '--with-dom' '--with-dom-xslt'
'--without-kerberos' '--with-pam' '--disable-memory-limit'
'--disable-mbstring' '--disable-mbregex' '--enable-dbx'
'--with-imap-ssl' '--with-zlib' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr/lib'
'--with-sablot=/usr' '--enable-xslt' '--with-xslt-sablot'
'--with-xmlrpc' '--enable-wddx' '--with-xml' '--with-bz2' '--with-crack'
'--with-ndbm' '--with-cdb' '--enable-bcmath' '--enable-calendar'
'--enable-dbase' '--enable-filepro' '--enable-ftp' '--with-mime-magic'
'--enable-sockets' '--enable-sysvsem' '--enable-sysvshm'
'--enable-sysvipc' '--with-iconv' '--enable-shmop' '--enable-dio'
'--enable-inline-optimization' '--enable-track-vars'
'--enable-trans-sid' '--enable-versioning'

I've got the mod_midgard being loaded by Apache and the
midgard-data.conf file is being included with Apache's config.

Anybody have and ideas? I don't remeber getting any errors during
install but I could have missed something.

Thanks!
