Hi everybody,

I have just installed midgard (1.4.4) on a Debian Woody system. I have
installad it from the woody debs you can get from
www.midgard-project.org.

I have setup it all (including midgard-data), and when I try to access
Asgard (the virtual host is callled test-aegir.eteo.mondragon.edu, as
I plan to install Aegir there to test it, and the URL I use is
http://test-aegir.eteo.mondragon.edu/asgard/) to configure the site
and finish the installation, I get back a strange page. After I type
the default user/password, a I get:

<<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>>
Parse error: parse error in ROOT on line 20
 ?><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML>
<HEAD>
  <[head]>
</HEAD>
<[css]>
<BODY <[body-format]>>
   <[body]>
  </BODY>
</HTML><?php
<<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>> <<<-->>>

I have read the docs, looked at the root page code (just a handful of
lines in PHP), but I can't find the source of the error. I have even
switched on PHP debugging output, but I get no errors from PHP/Apache
at all.

By the way, this is the content of line 20 (the one marked with -->>>)

   if ($midgard && $midgard->style == 0) {
      mgd_eval(" ?>".mgd_template("content")."<?php ","content");
   } else {
- -->>>      mgd_eval(" ?>".mgd_template("ROOT")."<?php ","ROOT");
   }

Where/what should I look? What additional info would be useful to
diagnose the origin of the problem? Reading documentation is not a
problem for me, just give me a hint where to look at ;)

Thanks in advance for you time and help.

Saludos. Iaki.
