Sorry if this sounds ignorant about the CMS, but what exactly is needed for a "clean
install" of midgard? I tried with the midgard rpms a while back and was unable to
get anything functional. Do I need the aegir system installed as well? What is the
purpose of each?

More recently I tried with a Debian install and that seemed more painful than the
Redhat installation. I had to install the source anyway to get the midgard conf file
for apache. Still, no results though.

Is there any source of good step-by-step documentation on getting this system up and
running? It seems that either the midgard documentation is lacking, or I keep missing
something.

My purposes for this installation are purely to evaluate the system as a demo.

Thanks,
-Peter

Steven,

When you create a new company does it respond with "fail to get admin
group"?

Then when you try to create a new group or person for that company does
it give you "fail to create group" and "person xyz already exists"
respectively?

Tony
