Thanks to Henri and Co. I managed to fix the apparently unrelated cookie problem.
But this issue persists, in my case it seems to be only when trying to edit elements under the Website tab in Aegir. The other tabs: Styles, News & Articles etc are working fine. Is that the case with you Steven?
