Can't remember if there was a bug or not but that's only a notice. So you could turn down PHP error levels a bit. (MidCOM sets E_ALL as default)

Basically you have snippetdir structure like: /sitegroup-config/component.name/config (./schema)
For example: /sitegroup-config/de.linkm.taviewer/config /sitegroup-config/de.linkm.taviewer/schema
Take a look at components default configuration to see what options are available. Current default configs are pretty useful as such. If you look at Datamanagers snippet-tree you see bunch of widget_xxx snippets. You can basically use any widget on any field. (I.e. widget_html produces HTMLArea WYSIWYG editor.)
Unfortunately there's too little component configuration documentation available. I hope someone has time to build some basic FAQ/help sites.
| I saw some nice sites built with MidCOM and it seemed quite easy to maintain, | but without any docs I'm lost in the snippetdirs...
MidCOM rocks!
Cheers!
