Are you running PHP 4.3.x?
There is a known issue there with a fix available: http://bugs.midgard-project.org/view_bug_advanced_page.php?f_id=0000621
| - How to customize the components? Found a lot of hints to create | /site-config/.../config, but how to find out what can be configured and how, | for example if I have to change the html-output of the navi.
The component configurations in sitegroup-config are used for two things: ~ * Change general configuration parameters of the component ~ * Change the datamanager schema of the component (fields used ~ in article editing)
The local configuration of a component is placed to snippetdir /sitegroup-config/my.component.name Copy the snippets from the component's _config snippetdir (for example /de/linkm/taviewer/_config) and modify them as you wish.
You can see some example configs in: http://www.midgard-project.org/community/communications/midgard-site/howbuilt/libraries http://www.slideml.org/files/slidesets/499/slide_22.html
As to customizing the output of a component, create a substyle under your site's style. Then copy the output elements you want to customize as style elements from snippets in the component's _style snippetdir and make the needed modifications. Then edit the topic in AIS and set its style to /Path_to/My_substyle.
