Hello guys,

Mnogosearch has worked great for us.
There's even an AddOn to Aegir (you must have
PHP compiled ---with-mnogosearch to use it).

Mnogo has the possibility to add external
parsers for pdfs, MS word files and several others.
And it's easy to install and configure.

Cheers!

| Just to clarify a little (I am working with Uung) we have a midgard

| able to search for text inside acrobat documents in particular.

| Should we use built-in midgard commands or an external search engine? If
| the built-in commands search only in the midgard database, can they also

|
| Would a generic search engine which creates an index by recursively
| following all links work on a dynamic system like Midgard?
|
| We're looking at mnogosearch ... anyone have any suggestions of what's a
| good choice?
