Hi,

I have a very strange problem that has recently appeared. Every time I
create a new website, whether under a dedicated company or as part of
another company, it creates no problem, but I cannot edit the content,
access the page across the web pushes mysql and apache processor loads
through the roof (80% + for mysql), the page will not display and returns an
error and it brings our server to its knees.

The setup I have is a staging/live setup with the staging server on port
8080 (only port I was allowed) and the live server on port 80.

My apache log gives the following before the processes go through the roof:

[Fri Jun 4 10:49:38 2004] [debug] mod_midgard.c(1325): [client
213.121.212.121] midgard_translate_handler(latin1,
http://www.emberz.co.uk:8080/)
[Fri Jun 4 10:49:38 2004] [debug] select_db.h(67): [client 213.121.212.121]
Midgard: switching to midgard

then it comes to a grinding halt.

It is the same whether running it from the live or staging server and it
does not matter which web address is used.

I currently have 9 other websites functioning correctly from this server and
the same general config (from apache) is used for the new ones I am trying
to create.

Just as a note - when I use Aegir to try and edit the content (which is a
very basic bit of html for test purposes), it will open the the editing page
as usual, allow me to enter the content, allow me to submit the content,
says its updated, but when I open the page again, it is blank, though Aegir
shows that the page content has changed. - note: I am editing under
websites, not under News and Articles.

Any ideas?

Cheers
