Hi Alex,

Very grateful to you for taking the time out to look into this.

I'm not sure if everything is set up correctly - though I followed the instructions :-))

Not sure whether register_globals is an issue. Set this up in it's own sub-domain with files installed from the root directory as per the instructions. URL is:

http://midgard.wol2000.co.uk

No point in trying to follow the links directly. The directories don't exist on the server.

Funnily, took a look just now & realised that it tells me I've installed 0.8.1 successfully. Could this be it? Could it just be that 0.8.2 is actually a figment of someone's imagination and that 0.8.2 is vapourware. After all, the chap whose post I read in the archives wasn't able top find the admin interfaces either.

Decided to do just a bit more digging. Looked at the bug history. Nothing there. Interesting to see someone post that in relation to their 0.8.2 (sic) installation problem This is a dogfood problem. Nobody is checking the releases for even the most basic of show stopping bugs.

Out of curisoity decided to download the zip file to see if the contects are the same. Seems as though they are - at least the files & directories seem to have been created on or around the same day - haven't got the patience to load & find out though.

Then, out of curiosity, tried all the links on the download page. http://lite.midgard-project.org/Download/ They all come up as Page Not Found. Hence, maybe this is a feature of Midgard Lite? Nothing works?

Guess the resolution is to move on to the next package and try it out, which is a shame as Midgard looked promising. That's why I tried it first.

Once again, thanks for having a look. in the mean-time, if anyone can spot the problem, I'd be willing to give it another go (maybe).

Hi,
i have not looked into midgard-lite for a while, but when I saw your
desperate email, i just wanted to check this out a bit -
and ran into errors:
[error] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare mgd_errno() in
/srv/www/MidgardLite/midgard_functions.php on line 69
weird, because I can not figure out, where this redeclare is coming from :(
(I have a full midgard on my test-machine too, but have definately shut that
down while testing migard-lite...)

But since you got the start-page up and running, it may just be
misconfigured path somwhere?
Where do all the links to your admin-interfaces point to?
Can you call these interfaces directly (t.x. http://myhost.tld/admin ) ?
Is your host-table set up correctly?
Does your ISP have register_globals set to ON ?? (check phpinfo(); )

regards,
Alex
