Since 1.6.1 MultiLang has been "forced" and thus you must use the repligard_i18n_po.xml schema. ALSO, please note that the current Aegir (and any other) repligard packages are still in the old db format (non-ML). Thus you either have to convert the packages by hand (not recommended, trust me on this one :)) or use datagard to import the packages (very recommended). So, run datagard, and use the Import option. Also, note that the packages that you want to import should be in a proper directory (/usr/share/midgard/share/data or similar).
