Thanks for the feedback - don't know what was causing it, but I left the same install running overnight last night (your email came in after I'd left), and this morning the install was done...
I'll try and post my steps to get midgard running on debian in the next couple of days once I'm sure it's actually working properly :-)

Should be 38 AFAIR. Every package is updated to new features.

Looks like some weird MySQL problem. Can You try run datagard again? Select 'Import' and select : - net.nemein.wiki - net.siriux.photos - pl.olga.files - pl.olga.vv - spider-admin
If that won't return error , we should be able to update host table manually and start using midgard.
