If I remember correctly, apache 2 threaded was considered experimental by the Zend folks as well a couple of months back.. I don't know if things have changed with PHP 5 tho.

Cheers,

Mike, I use Gentoo too (2) ;-) I can't get Midgard 1.6.1 or 1.6.2 to run
with Apache 2.0.5x when it is using the threaded model (do 'apache2 -l' and
look for worker.c to verify [if it shows prefork.c instead then you are good
to go]). If you change your USE flags and re-build apache (there's a
specific mpm_prefork flag that will set that up.

midgard-apache2 module is mostly midgard-apache1 module with some changes which allow this module to be usefull. That's why this module works only with prefork model.

Piotras, is there a known problem with Apache2 threaded and Midgard or am I
missing something?

See above. No one ever wrote any code for threaded model of Apache2. Debian's perchild and threadpool models are described as experimental, so I even do not think about thinking about this :)
