Mike, I use Gentoo too (2) ;-) I can't get Midgard 1.6.1 or 1.6.2 to run with
Apache 2.0.5x when it is using the threaded model (do 'apache2 -l' and look for
worker.c to verify [if it shows prefork.c instead then you are good to go]). If
you change your USE flags and re-build apache (there's a specific mpm_prefork
flag that will set that up. See http://gentoo-portage.com/USE), you can get
both 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 versions of Midgard to compile. Let me know if you need
more detail to get that working.

Of course, you said you could not get it to compile, so perhaps you are facing
other issues. I didn't have a problem with the compile.

Oh, and you have to specify --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs2, etc. when you are
configuring the various Midgard components.

Piotras, is there a known problem with Apache2 threaded and Midgard or am I
missing something?

(Sorry on the lack of detail. I'm not in front of my system at the moment.)

Good luck. Alan
