Hi, we are trying to reduce dependencies on SNAPSHOT plugins in our Maven 2 build. The only remaining direct dependency on a SNAPSHOT plugin is the Webstart plugin. So my question is: When can we expect a first stable version of this plugin?
I had hoped to add a number of features first. But I guess we can release an alpha-1 without waiting too much. Will start a vote in another thread. Feel free to poke around http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MWEBSTART and see if there's anything you want to raise or help with.
At least it would be great if a new SNAPSHOT could be released. The current version of the Webstart plugin depends on the maven-jar 2-1-SNAPSHOT (and the Apache snapshot repo). I think, the maven-jar plugin 2.1 was released in August, so you could upgrade your dependency to the official release hopefully. This way we could get rid of the dependency on the Apache snapshot repo.
That was done a month ago: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r2389 | lacostej | 2006-09-22 08:03:23 +0200 (vie, 22 sep 2006) | 1 line Rutas cambiadas: M /trunk/mojo/webstart-maven-plugin/plugin/pom.xml Bump maven-jar-plugin to 2.1. Remove apache.snapshots repository But I didn't deploy a new snapshot after that... Will deploy ASAP.
I ask for this, because the Apache snapshot repo seems to be unavailable right now :(
