Hi Laxmi, This is not about compatibly. It means about HMaster is not working. Do you start HMaster ? You can use jps,distributed with Oracle JVM, command for check HMaster.
I think this error cause by wrong settings. What's your hbase.zookeeper.quorom configuration?
