First I agree with you.
second I accomplish this buy having my own modules that I make my own
screens.

I have been thinking of asking to add Class field for each entry in a
entity. But I have not given much thought to this process yet.

then by use of a CSS you hide or relocated any field you want.

However there is not "one way" a screen should done.
so the implementations we now have are generic and suppose to be
modified by the consultant, in there release to the client.
