Hi Florin:
IMO, the Groovy switch, while inconvenient is not a show stopper. Groovy
is very similar to the Bean Shell. Where I have difficult logic that I
don't want to spend the time to figure out the Groovy equivalent, l use
BSH. I may go back and convert, but BSH - like JSP - is still supported
and it works fine.
Good luck.

Thank you for the details sent regarding this topic,
It is anyway a difficult decision for me because we invested lot of
work into that version and I am affraid the upgrade to latest version
won't be very easy...
Mostly because of the switch from bsh to groovy... am I right?
Coming back to the layout, I think it is the time to list here few
implementations so that you can get an idea what are we dealing with..

http://86.122.93.253:8080/ecommerce
There are several other implementations, each asking for particular
layouts...
There are very strict and detailed layout requirements received and
sometimes difficult to fulfill... of course the admin area is less
important bu the shop UI area should be really top developed..
We extended the entire mechanism in a way that we offer one layout and
additionally, customer could upload by himself css/pictures and even
templates for his own customization of UI
Best regards,
Florin

Hello all,
I am using Ofbiz ecommerce module, the version is 4.0.
I am aware an upgrade to latest version would not be very easy so the
question is: does latest version offer more advanced flexibility of
templates and CSS regarding a more flexible layout for shop user
interface?
Thanks,
Flopa
