OK in that vain No I am not creating an alternate generic project for distribution. I have rebranded the code so not to confuse with ofbiz, but like I said, my customers will not know of ofbiz core, just like when I use mssql server my clients did not know what I was using only that what they saw delivered what they wanted and there was a low learning curve. It also reduced the keystrokes therefore errors, and adds RIO.

I have changed the data model to support the data model book. as well as some data that I had before I came to ofbiz, that I can not find away to implement.

yes I have added functionality but not in the folders ofbiz trunk.

The last thing is I am more a SAS vendor so I host the software.

If I understand correctly you're talking building custom or targeted software
based on the generic stuff in OFBiz? That sounds great, and consistent with how
OFBiz is normally used (ie customized for a particular organization or used as
a basis for software targeted at a particular industry).

It sounded like you might be thinking of doing an alternate generic project,
perhaps like Opentaps or Neogia, or maybe even a redux like Moqui, so that's
why I was asking.

similar in that knowing ofbiz is a plus.
different in that a different approach to certain things:
1)like labels are not field names but more directed to the end users way of
doing things.
2)Navigation is more end user friendly and intuitive.
3)projects will be ofbiz centric but for different vertical markets.
3)holding to what I perceive is the basic design criteria that got me to use
ofbiz.
4) use of a expanded version of the the project manager to define the work to be done. meeting or
exceeding "agreed to" times guarantees current or next level up wages on next project,
missing "agreed to" times will reduce the wages on next project.
this will all be addressed once the funding is available.

Just to clarify, I am not in competition with ofbiz.
I am a business man that uses ofbiz as a core for what I provide my customers.
ofbiz, from my client point of view, is not a selling point, the solution is.

BJ,

You wrote: "I will have project similar to ofbiz".

Could be more specific about what you mean by that? How would it be similar,
and how would it be different?
